Instruction for renewal of NON E-Passport


Non e-passport that can be renewed is the one was issued from 2000 onward and have never been renewed. After renewal, its validity is upto 28 July 2010 only.

Thai Identity Card or Thai House Registration with 13 digit numbers and two photocopies

Current passport and two photocopies (page 1 – 2)

PHOTOGRAPH 3 passport size photographs

FEE $US 35.00
   (US Postal Money Order or Cashier’s check made payable to “Royal Thai Consulate General, LA”)

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATIONS :
      E-Passport for those who are under 20 years old
           - Thai Birth Certificate
           - Parent’s valid passports or Thai Identity Cards together with two photocopies
           -
Marriage Certificate of parents together with one photocopy
           - Parents are required to sign on an application form to give their consents for their minors
to apply for his/her passport. If one or both of them is/are not able to sign on the application form, a Letter of Consent together with “FORM FOR NOTARY PUBLIC TO NOTARIZE SIGNATURE OF APPLICANT” notarized by Notary Public is acceptable.

       For an applicant who is a Government Official/student under supervision of Civil Service Commission (CSC)
           - Letter from the Office of Civil Service Commission granting permission to continue studying
in the U.S.

HOW TO SUBMIT APPLICATION
      1. Applicant may submit application in person at the Royal Thai Consulate General or at the Mobile Consular Units or mail to the Royal Thai Consulate General, 611 N. Larchmont BLVD, 2nd floor, Los Angeles, CA 90004
       In case of sending by mail, the applicant must sign on “FORM FOR NOTARY PUBLIC TO NOTARIZE SIGNATURE OF APPLICANT”.
       2. Applicant may request the Royal Thai Consulate General to mail his/her passport, providing us with pre-paid self-addressed envelope from the Post Office.

NOTE
         Processing time is 3 working days (if an applicant submits application in person and documents are completed.) and 2 weeks (if an applicant submits application by mail and documents are completed.)


           The Royal Thai Consulate General is not responsible for any lost mail.
